REV. CORNELL E. TALLEY (MY GRANDFATHER) PT.1

Ok, so I'm hoping you're still with me so far on this journey!
As I move along, Im discovering SIMILIAR career choices in ALL four men.

Heres a summation of the two we've discussed so far.
So far I've introduced my childhood main influence, Jaramogi Abebe Agyeman:
-Shrines of the Black Madonna (Founder), Minister, Leader,
Politics (he ran for governor michigan 1960's), Author,
-My great-grandfather, Marshall Talley:
COPP (founder), Minister, General Assembly (Politics), Leader, Author, religious scholar.

Rev. Cornell E. Talley (my grandfather, son of marshall talley) was born January 9, 1910.  And like his father, his death was mentioned in the paper - JET MAGAZINE, May 8, 1989.

He became one of the nations most renowned preachers of the Old & New Testament.

I was living in Detroit mostly during this time.  I was a teenager by the time he died March 27, 1989.  I never knew his church was not far from where I lived in Detroit.

My grandfather pastored Central Baptist Church in Homestead, PA from 1938-1961.  Described as "the largest Negro church in Pittsburgh". Here they continue to honor the previous ministers at Central Baptist; still maintaining their mission & vision!
HE'S THE LIGHT- SKINNED GENTLEMEN ABOVE

STAY WITH ME!
